Ardra/Arudra is the 6^th among all 27 nakshatras. The term Ardra/Arudra is in the Sanskrit language which means “moist one”. This nakshatra ranges from 6°40 to 20’00 under Gemini. The ruling planet is Rahu and this nakshatra completely fall under Gemini. Hence it’s a combination of  Rahu and Mercury depicts the intelligence and passionate thinking. Rahu is the ruling planet which causes troubles in life. The diety of this nakshatra is Rudra, his qualities can be seen in natives born under this nakshatra. Animal symbol of this nakshatra is a female dog which again represents violence. This nakshatra mostly leads to the destructive acts. According to Vedic Astrology and Hindu myths, Ardra/Arudra is the seed of the Rahu energy. This nakshatra contains a single bright star, it is one of the brightest stars in the night sky. Like all the nakshatra it is also divided into 4 padas (quarter)
